2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company Google LLC, USA). When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically processes information in server log files that your browser transmits: in particular the anonymised/truncated IP address, the date and time of access, the file requested, the volume of data transferred, the requesting browser and operating system, and, where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer).
This processing serves to ensure a secure, stable and functional operation of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1) (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the provider. Insofar as data is transferred to the USA, the transfer is based on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or a certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
3. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server. No connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is established, and your IP address is not transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
4. Cookies, analytics and tracking
This website uses no cookies and employs no analytics, tracking or advertising services. There is no audience measurement and no profiling. A consent banner is therefore not required.
5. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address and the content of your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed to handle the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. External links
This website links to external offerings, such as our training portal (about.training) and our LinkedIn and GitHub profiles. When you follow these links, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply; we have no influence over their data processing.
7. SSL/TLS encryption
For security and to protect transmission, this website uses TLS encryption (recognisable by “https://” in the address bar).
8. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
